If you deliberately injure, or seek to injure, another person, you have no right to feign surprise when they push back. Retaliation is one of the oldest and most predictable consequences of wrongdoing.

That said, I do not believe @RupertLowe10 is motivated by vengeance. I believe his intentions are principled, honourable, and rooted in what he believes is right for this country and its citizens.

What Alex is displaying here is projection.

She, and others within @reformparty_uk, are projecting their own awareness of wrongdoing onto Rupert because they now recognise the consequences of their actions. They assume revenge because it is what they themselves would fear in his position.

That burden belongs to them. It is their conscience speaking- not Rupert’s motive.
