Go back to that dream He gave you, go back to that promise that He whispered in your spirit. You have to stir it up. Get your passion back. Get your hopes up. Start talking like it’s on the way. Start thanking God that it’s coming.
Some journeys open your eyes in ways you don’t expect; they sit with you long after you’ve arrived home and this trip was one of them. It was gifted to me by someone special and I thought it would be a simple birthday escape. Instead, it became a journey that stayed with me.
What you see here was before the Limpopo dam gates were opened, before even more water came. I made it through just in time but many didn’t.
I saw people walking through floodwater because that was the only way forward. I saw communities doing what they could, with what they had. And I felt how different everything looks when nothing shields you from what’s happening around you.
I made it home safely, but many are still living with the aftermath. Holding them in my thoughts and choosing not to forget. 💌 #mozambiquefloods
