My first EVER visit to the pyramid of Pepi I at South Saqqara! Pepi Meryre c. 2321-2287 BCE was buried surrounded by the longest extant set of Pyramid Texts. The name of his complex ('Pepi-Men-Nefer', 'Established is the Perfection of Pepi') became that of the capital: #Memphis.
Really extraordinary pieces I'd never seen before: 'Faiyum-portrait'-style paintings as the focus, and painted onto the doorleaves, of domestic(?) shrines. Both from the Roman Period Faiyum. Wow.
