I want to apologize to @KabiesiOlukosi for the harsh words I said to him during our back and forth, recently. I also want to extend my apologies to anyone who feels offended by my actions and inactions during that period.
Finally, I would love to appreciate the elders who mediated. Àgbà ò níí tán lórílẹ̀.

To the Atalanta family , after nearly four years, the time has come for me to say goodbye. From the moment I arrived in Bergamo, you welcomed me like one of your own and pushed me to be the best version of myself.
Together we made history. European champions, a night none of us will ever forget. Scoring a hat-trick in a European final and lifting a trophy with this club after a 61 year trophy drought will stay with me. Winning the Africa Player of the year award in 2024 as an Atalanta player will forever stay with me. Those moments, those emotions, those nights under the lights, they’re engraved in my heart.
Thank you to my teammates, the staff, the club. To the fans, your passion, your belief, your energy meant everything. From day one, you stood by me and by this team through every moment. Your passion, your voices, your belief never faded and together we achieved.
Every cheer, every banner, every away trip meant something. Thank you for making Bergamo feel like home and for giving me memories I’ll carry forever.
Grazie di tutto, ciao 💙🖤
FELA LIVES: FELA’S LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The world of music has honoured a giant: Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
Fela was more than a musician. He was a fearless voice of the people, a philosopher of freedom, and a revolutionary force whose music confronted injustice and reshaped global sound.
His courage, creativity, and conviction defined a generation and continue to inspire the world. In Yoruba mythology, he has transcended to a higher plane as an Orisa. He is now eternal.
Fela Kuti has blazed the trail with the Recording Academy of America's Lifetime Achievement Award, becoming the first African to receive this honour, though posthumously. The award is an affirmation of his enduring global influence and the foundational role he has played in the evolution and impact of Africa on modern music.
He defined Afrobeat, and you can hear and see his influence in generations of Nigerian musicians and in Afrobeats and beyond.
Fela lives.

The statement is as a result of conservative endeavours of our forebearers. Yorùbá statements like these often have context to them. Marabou storks are one of the animals that our forebearers took time to study. Their reproduction rate is low. They don't start reproducing until age 4. Even though they lay 2-3 eggs, only about one-third of eggs reach independence, and only a quarter of juveniles reach sexual maturity. That means 1 out of 12 eggs will reach adulthood. If we also take the fact that they may not breed every year into consideration, their slow reproductive rate will become clearer.
Now, there are strict tabboos that are made to protect certain animals. Knowing how important vultures and Marabou storks are to the environment and how much they're needed, they systematically placed a ban on killing them. And what ban would be heavier that the fear of death?! That's why they say that whoever kills a vulture or a Marabou stork would die untimely. It's a genius conservation move.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye exchanges a handshake with Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, as the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, looks on, during the official state visit to Türkiye.
The visit underscores Nigeria–Türkiye efforts to deepen economic cooperation, grow bilateral trade toward US $5 billion annually, and build on rising trade volumes that have positioned Nigeria as Türkiye’s leading partner in sub-Saharan Africa when energy trade is included. Turkish investments already span construction, energy, textiles, and manufacturing, with expanding collaboration in energy infrastructure and industrial supply chains. The engagement also delivered the signing of nine agreements, reinforcing institutional ties, boosting investor confidence, and supporting Nigeria’s reform-driven, long-term economic growth.

During the State Visit today in Ankara, Türkiye, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and I reaffirmed our shared ambition, which speaks directly to jobs, investment, and opportunity for our people, creating a clear pathway to a five-billion-dollar trade volume between Nigeria and Türkiye.
Our conversations were practical and forward-looking: trade and investment, energy, education, defence cooperation, peace and security, and the creation of a Joint Economy and Trade Committee to unlock new flows of capital and deepen Turkish investment in Nigeria.
I welcome President Erdoğan’s recognition of Nigeria’s reform momentum, particularly in the energy sector, and his confidence in our determination to build an economy that works for everyone, including the most vulnerable.
We also spoke frankly about security. Nigeria will continue to play its role in peace and stability in Africa. Türkiye’s experience and readiness to cooperate in military training, intelligence sharing, and counter-terrorism efforts strengthen our collective resolve against agents of destabilisation in the Sahel and beyond.
At the conclusion of our meetings, nine agreements were exchanged across defence, education, media, diaspora policy, trade, social development, and institutional cooperation between our foreign ministries.
Nigeria remains open for serious partnership. Open to trade without barriers.
Open to ideas, skills, and investment that create value and shared prosperity.
We are building an inclusive economy. We are strengthening peace. Nigeria will continue to engage the world with confidence and clarity.
