LEAKED: DO THEY NEED TO GO THIS ROUTE BECAUSE SOME FEW PERSONS ARE NOT HAPPY THAT 61 OUT OF 81 MINORITY LAWMAKERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES NOMINATED ME AS THEIR NEW MINORITY LEADER DESIGNATE?
One of the 49 nominees eventually rejected his appointment after he was given a junior Ministerial position (Minister of State).
He chose to keep his Senatorial seat instead of leaving the Senate to become a Minister of State.
Ended up becoming a senior Minister 16 years later.
A month later Peter Obi left ADC and since then, the party members have been wailing and gnashing like all their cards crumbled, and to think the same members were the ones undermining him in coalition.....
They wanted to cage him with a VP slot, and the man said No, since then, they have unleashed venom against him.....
As Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Edo State, my goal is to strengthen unity, rebuild trust, and deepen grassroots engagement across all levels of our party.
My mission is not only to win elections, but to also support the Governor in delivering real developments.
Update on Party Primary
@NigeriaNDCHQ had bad primaries. Nothing special about it. @OfficialAPCNg primaries were similarly horrible.
@ADCNig is the only major party that had a 'well-organized' primary. But it was similarly rigged. 'Well-organized' means 'better coordinated', 'well-structured'. It does not mean 'free and fair'.
So, the verdict remains the same: ADC comes first and APC second on organization. NDC comes last. But, all had very rigged primaries. It is almost impossible to have 'free and fair' primaries under the current regime and timelines.
NB: NDC has done relatively better than other parties considering it had shorter time to do much. it could have done better with its primaries but many greedy and poor people in Nigerian politics. It has to step up now if it wants to be taken as Nigeria's main opposition.
The bigger worry is that democracy is failing in Nigeria, and failing fast. This is the worst primary season since 1999.
Obi/Kwankwaso would be a stronger ticket than Atiku with any South-Easterner. The South-East is the weakest region to look for additional votes. Atiku/Amaechi is the only ticket that can truly match APC and NDC because both candidates are established household names with nationwide recognition.
Anybody selling you Amaechi is looking to make Atiku lose.
Do what you will with that message.
Amaechi is a good man. A decent politician. But he wonβt bring in those votes. Heβll lose the entire SE in a worse fashion than Okowa and would struggled in the SS
