ငလျင်ဗဟိုချက်ဖြစ်တဲ့ စစ်ကိုင်းမြို့မှာ ကူညီကယ်ဆယ်ရေးတွေ အရောက်နည်းသလို အခြေခံ စားသောက်ကုန် ပြတ်လပ်မှုတွေ ရှိနေတယ်လို့ စစ်ကိုင်းမြို့ခံတွေဆီကနေ သိရပါတယ်။

မတ်လ ၂၈ ရက်နေ့မှာ လှုပ်ခတ်ခဲ့တဲ့ငလျင်ကြောင့် စစ်ကိုင်းမြို့မှာ တိုက်တွေပြိုကျခဲ့တဲ့အပြင် လူအသေအပျောက်တွေလည်း များခဲ့တာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

ကူညီကယ်ဆယ်ရေးတွေဟာ မန္တလေးမြို့မှာ ရှိနေပေမဲ့ စစ်ကိုင်းဘက်ခြမ်းကိုတော့ ထိထိရောက်ရောက် ကူညီနေတာ မတွေ့ရသေးဘူးလို့ စစ်ကိုင်းမြို့ခံက ပြောပါတယ်။

"တိုက်ပျက်တွေက ဒီတိုင်းပဲ။ ရှင်းလင်းပြီး ကယ်နေတာ မတွေ့သေးဘူး။ အလောင်းတွေလည်း ဆွဲထုတ်လို့ မနိုင်ဘူး။ အနံ့တောင်ထွက်နေပြီ။"လို့ ဆိုပါတယ်။

ဒါ့အပြင် စစ်ကိုင်းမြို့မှာ ကုန်ပစ္စည်းဆိုင်တွေလည်း ပြိုကျခဲ့တာကြောင့် စားသောက်ကုန်တွေ ပြတ်လပ်နေပြီလို့လည်း နောက်ထပ် ရွှေမင်းဝံရပ်ကွက်နေ စစ်ကိုင်းမြို့ခံက ဆက်ပြောပါတယ်။

"ဖွင့်တဲ့ဆိုင်တွေကလည်း ငလျင်ကြောင့် ပျက်စီးကုန်ပြီ။ တချို့ကျတော့ အပျက်အစီးပုံတွေကြားထဲကပဲ နှိုက်ရောင်းနေကြတယ်။ တချို့ကျတော့ ဖွင့်တဲ့ဆိုင်ပေါက်စလေးတွေမှာ လုဝယ်နေကြတယ်။ ဝယ်ထားတဲ့ ခေါက်ဆွဲနဲ့ ရေသန့်လည်း ဘယ်တော့ ပြတ်မယ်မသိဘူး။ မနက်ကလည်း မနက်စာသွားဝယ်တာ ဘာမှ မရခဲ့ဘူး။"လို့ စစ်ကိုင်းမြို့ခံက ပြောပါတယ်။

ငလျင်ကြောင့် စစ်ကိုင်းနဲ့ မန္တလေးကို ဆက်သွယ်ထားတဲ့ စစ်ကိုင်းတံတားလမ်းဟောင်း ပြိုကျခဲ့ပြီး လမ်းသစ်ဟာလည်း တိမ်းစောင်းသွားခဲ့တဲ့အတွက် မန္တလေးနဲ့ စစ်ကိုင်းကို သင်္ဘောနဲ့ ဇက်ကူးတို့နဲ့သာ သွားနေရတယ်လို့လည်း သိရပါတယ်။

လတ်တလော ငလျင်ကြောင့် နိုင်ငံတဝန်းက သေဆုံးသူအယောက် (၁၆၀၀) ကျော်ရှိနေပြီး၊ အယောက် ၃ ထောင်ကျော် ဒဏ်ရာရရှိကြောင်း စစ်ကောင်စီက ထုတ်ပြန်ထားပါတယ်။

As of noon Sunday, 36 people have been rescued from collapsed buildings in Sagaing town, the epicenter of Friday’s 7.7-magnitude earthquake, said the Myanmar Fire Services Department. The BBC has reported more than 200 fatalites in Sagaing. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

Declaration of $2 Million for Humanitarian Needs in the Aftermath of the Myanmar Earthquake

March 30, 2025

As an immediate response to the March 28 Sagaing earthquake, the United States will provide up to USD 2 million through Myanmar-based humanitarian assistance organizations to support earthquake-affected communities. In addition, a USAID emergency response team is deploying to Myanmar to identify the people’s most pressing needs, including emergency shelter, food, medical needs, and access to water.

The United States stands with the people of Myanmar as they work to recover from the devastation. We offer our deepest condolences for the loss of life and infrastructure in this difficult time.

The situation is terrible, with aftershocks continuing, electricity outages in impacted areas, and (almost) no free press on the ground. The majority of local journalists have been exiled following the coup in 2021. With civil war ongoing, there are real concerns about how the junta will respond.
