The fact that she saw her slash getting parried so easily, making her believe thie Mimic wasn't a mimic.

Yet Max wasn't going to let herself be fooled. In her eyes, this wasn't her master. It was a cheap knockoff or a Mimic.

it harder to fully parry. Regardless, thrusting with a blade like hers, designed for cutting, wasn't as effective, yet that was exactly why she chose such a maneuver, hoping to catch the other woman off guard with it.

Such a swift and deadly feint caught even Kagura off-guard, moving her blade to clash with Gozen's swift cut, the black haired warrior having to use both hands as well to have enough leverage to not have her blade disarmed by the strike, sweat running down her face.
