I've always wanted a journalist to ask Trump this question: "what were the terms of the JCPOA"? Huge indictment of journalism in the U.S. that no one has done that and his criticisms of the Iran Deal were treated as genuine positions.
REPUBLICANS ARE TOTALLY SILENT AFTER THEY FOUND OUT THAT TRUMP'S IRAN WAR WILL COST THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AT LEAST 325 BILLION DOLLARS 🤷
THE SAME REPUBLICANS CALLED IT A HUGE FUCKING SCANDAL AFTER THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION RELEASED 1.7 BILLION DOLLARS TO IRAN 🙄
CBS: The Iranians are saying they're gonna have access to a $300 billion reconstruction fund. True or false?
JD VANCE: That's the sort of things they could have access to so long as they honor their end of the obligation
BREAKINGNEWS: Art of the deal. Iran says Trump agreed to 300 billion to rebuild Iran. 24 billion in frozen assets to be released. Iran claims some of that money has already been handed over. Jesus this is a mess. 🚨
Heads up: The U.S. Postal Service has proposed a new rule that would allow it to refuse to deliver mail ballots in states that don't turn over voter rolls to the federal government.
Democrats and voting-rights groups say the proposed rule is clear evidence that the Trump admin is trying to unconstitutionally intrude on state-run elections.
Journalists sitting on massive scoops about important people in this country—stories the American people deserve to know—just so they can sell books later is everything wrong with journalism today.
Hegseth: The document says Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, won't seek one, won't buy one, won't have one.
Brennan: JCPOA said that too.
Hegseth: The huge difference is we did this from a position of strength.
BREAKING: Iran says the US has agreed to pay $300 billion in reconstruction funds directly to Iran as part of the deal Pakistan announced, alongside the release of $24 billion in frozen funds with $12 billion released before negotiations even start, per Mehr News.
This directly contradicts Trump's & Vance's claim that no funds will be transferred to Iran at all.
If Trump denies this is true, there never was a deal. If Trump confirms, the US has fully capitulated to Iran's demands.
it's notable to me that the administration tried to frame tonight's UFC event as a "gift to Americans" but you can't watch it unless you have a paid subscription to Paramount+
FBI shows up to interrogate a U.S. citizen at his house—for writing an anti-ICE social media post.
"This is about comments that you posted online," said agent.
Orders homeowner to stop recording—refuses to even tell him which comments.
Agent wearing unique World Cup uniform to indicate he is currently assigned to work with ICE on immigration issues.
Craig Brittain has been actively documenting and participating in protests at the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility in Newark, New Jersey.
His social media posts videos of demonstrations, conflicts with agents, and calls for the facility’s closure.
NEW: The DOJ’s Civil Division says it has no records of communication related to Trump v. IRS or the settlement negotiations.
For a deal of this magnitude, the absence of records is yet another striking sign of the irregular process that produced an enormously corrupt result.
Some thoughts on the new Epstein Files revelations:
I’ve now read everything that’s come out from the new Haberman and Swan book, and the thing I keep coming back to is the Situation Room. They held multiple meetings in the Situation Room about the Epstein files. That room is for war. It’s for national security emergencies. It is not for figuring out how to spin a scandal you’re telling the country is a hoax.
While the President was deflecting or calling this old news, his own Vice President and Chief of Staff were huddled in the most leak-proof room in America because they knew how bad it really was.
You don’t take a nothingburger to the Situation Room.
And I have to be honest, reading all this brings back a lot of frustration about what happened in the House of Representatives. I sat there and watched Mike Johnson send the House home early to dodge a vote on releasing these files. I watched him refuse to swear in a duly elected colleague for months just to stall the discharge petition. Month after month of excuses, arm twisting, and procedural games, all to keep this information from the public. We only got the files because survivors, families, and a handful of members in both parties simply refused to let it go.
So when people ask me why I talk so much about transparency and accountability, this is why. The truth eventually comes out. It always does.
The only question is whether your leaders helped reveal it or helped bury it.
Everyone who voted to keep these files hidden should have to answer for that.
Finally, notice what’s missing from all of this is any sign that Trump’s DOJ will actually investigate the powerful men named in these files.
Draw your own conclusions about why a Justice Department run by the President’s former defense lawyers might not be eager to pull that thread.
Let's walk through what actually happened here, in order.
DOGE cut the USAID program specifically designed to prevent screwworm from crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. DOGE cut USDA's animal disease control and prevention funding. That funding had supported more than 180 outbreak investigations in 22 countries and capacity-building in more than 160 laboratories. The screwworm monitoring and response program that watched the border for exactly this parasite - cut.
Then screwworm showed up in Texas cattle. Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared a disaster for Zavala and Uvalde counties this week.
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins went on CNBC this morning and blamed the Biden administration, 17 months out of office.
Her specific words: "obviously not much had been done to push back."
The program that was supposed to push back existed. DOGE eliminated it in March 2025. Rollins has been Agriculture Secretary since February 13, 2025. The cuts happened on her watch.
Beef prices are already high. Ranchers in south Texas are now dealing with a flesh-eating parasite that was eradicated in this country in the 1960s - eradicated, specifically, using the sterile fly program her department defunded.
The flies existed. The program existed. The budget existed.
Until it didn't.
