Earlier the legal team restricted media access to the family's activities, including the funeral service, which was held in April 2025.

We know that the victim's family and we from the public is demanding swift justice because the incident has sparked discussions about domestic abuse and student safety on campus.

Below is the Google Summary of the matter

1. Victim: Joana Deladem Yabani, a final-year Biological Sciences student. Her body was found near the university's Disability and Rehabilitation Centre on February 27, 2025.

2. Suspect: Daniel Tuffuor, also a final-year student at KNUST and the victim's boyfriend.

3. Alleged Events: CCTV footage reportedly captured an altercation where Tuffuor allegedly pushed Yabani to the ground, leading to her death. He is then accused of moving her body to the location where it was found. Her phone and laptop were initially missing but later recovered by police.

4. Legal Proceedings: Tuffuor was arrested and has been in police custody since. The case has gone through multiple court adjournments as the prosecution awaits advice from the Attorney General's office and an autopsy report was submitted.
