A few of our stores in Newcastle have teamed up to donate £300 to their local @age_uk branch to fund a special lunch with turkey and all the trimmings for 45 people who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day #ChristmasInTheCommunity

Semitones, a community orchestra which regularly plays in care homes, will be playing Christmas music outside Sainsburys in the Gosforth shopping centre from 2-3pm on Saturday 16 December.
They'll be collecting donations and sharing these with Slow Shopping.
