@arhin10v@AmeyawDebrah But director, he has been provided with a URL to view his offence. Definitely, the details of the offence will be outlined there.
@KAgbodza Gone are the days when Roads Ministers declared projects ongoing or completed from their offices while nothing was happening on the ground. You’re setting a new benchmark for transparency and accountability. Your successors have a standard to live up to. Keep it up, Honourable!
@thenanaaba This could be a propaganda from certain quarters. What I won’t support is the attempt to discredit Cassiel Ato Forson’s efforts to stabilise the cedi & strengthen Ghana’s economic position. Ghana is getting stronger & bolder, and clearly, some people are uncomfortable with that.
@Fentuo_ Great, Fent! This makes it easier for @JDMahama to extend the Resetting Agenda to the Sports Ministry and other state institutions involved in Ghana football; in fact sports in general.
@Muftawu_Nabila In countries where accountability is taken seriously, people in positions of responsibility don’t need to be pushed to resign. They do what is right & step down when they fail. Here, we have to demand accountability before those responsible even consider doing the honourable thing
Some more details that have emerged since the Queiroz news:
1. Apparently, he actually quit. Submitted his resignation letter yesterday morning and the FA scheduled a debrief for the evening where he laid down a plethora of reasons why he couldn’t continue, hence the part of his statement that said he didn’t stay because “the right conditions were not well established”.
2. For example, Queiroz said he didn’t understand the team was training everyday in the stadium, the same venue of the game, and not at a different facility.
3. Complained about late arrival. He prefers to arrive in Ghana at least 10 days before the team gathers, he only got here 2 days before, because his ticket didn’t come early.
4. Also preferred that the team stayed at Kempinski, they took them to African Regent. Alisa wasn’t an option because they owe them so much money from previous stays that they sacked the team from there.
5. He also complained about interference, telling close associates that there were some players in camp he knew nothing about. He hinted at this when he said team selection needs to be done with “honesty”.
6. He also wanted more control of the backroom staff, and he was only granted partial control. He actually wanted to bring his own doctor, nutritionist, team manager etch. They only gave him his own nutritionist.
@Fentuo_ They made it look as though the coaches are always the problem, when our football crisis runs much deeper.Corruption and money have eaten into the system so badly that doing what is right for the good of the game has become secondary. This has always been an institutional failure
@garyalsmith Words can't describe how shameful it is for Ghana to cancel friendlies against Morocco & Tanzania because of our poor form. We are not even “poor” anymore; we are a footballing disaster in plain sight. I'm wondering why @JDMahama hasn't extended his Resetting agenda to the GFA.
@shizzlem1 Some of you on this app, I honestly wonder how far removed your brains are from knowledge. Do you people read at all? How enlightened are you, really? And by the way, would you have the courage to tell @samgeorgegh face-to-face that his take is “dumb”? Jokes.
