@JJTailsX2@Gapi182 Exactly! No different than 007 First Light giving you options for gadgets. You pick what you want to use to complete the objective. That's what makes it interesting and fun.
Cars in Clutch can have a harpoon gadget that you can shoot to:
- Make sharp turns
- Flip over police cars
- Hang onto a helicopter (story mission)
The harpoon is mostly free aimed and physics based unless prompted otherwise so devs said it's up to the players to get creative and find different ways of using it
@CaramelKaiteki I understand perfectly. This tech is optional outside of story missions, and is not available in competitive races. Just like they have nitrous, but that's only allowed in the street races/free roam.
Context is important and the devs have made it clear that they're aware of that
@florbosagbag To be fair the devs have clarified this multiple times, but people posting clips online are leading with that gameplay to get engagement.
The "ClutchTech" has not been a main focus of the official marketing at all.
@Gapi182 It is a gameplay element meant to integrate with the story, which we don't know much about yet.
Should every game be set within the confines of reality? Is uniqueness not allowed in one of the most open ended mediums on earth?
Just relax and enjoy something cool/different ๐
@PCbetter5080@JacobSteve49905 I want a new Spy Hunter and Need for Speed.. This game scratches both of those itches while the publishers sit on their unused IPs ๐ค
@FajarArno77172@quandalebishop@WajSid Yeah nowhere has the studio used the fact that they were ex Forza Devs in their official marketing of the game. I'm relieved they aren't putting another Horizon clone into the market
@quandalebishop@WajSid Sounds like you've got an expectation problem then. Come back when you don't have to call me names like a fucking child ๐
Them making a Horizon clone is not what the world needs or wants. That'd be the fastest way to the closure of their studio.
