Less than 6 months back home in Kenya and the BJJ quest is ramping up into a speed run like....I'm in the national Business Daily Africa paper already and officially a coach at Nairobi Jiu Jitsu Academy 💜🫡
I never thought hearing "..and a high of 27°C" every damn morning would have me feeling kinda sad 🤣 experiencing the UK's bipolar weather for 23 years has done a number on my Kenyan brain it seems.

2025 Goal: No "zero" days.
A 'zero' day is when you don't move at all.
In five years, you won’t care whether you crushed your workout today or not.
You’ll care that you showed up.
Focus on being consistent. Fitness is a life-long journey, not a 30-day sprint.
@Shane_Hunter@TheJasonAnspach Absolutely focus on having fun. Accept you don't know sh*t about f*ck and you probably won't for a good few months. Even then, you'll know the difference between what's this sh*t and what the f*ck was that. Have fun!!! 💜🫡
I'm only 39 and I already see it.
Fit friends seem to defy aging.
Those that don't exercise regularly are going downhill fast.
It's f*cking sad.

I get that life can be busy.
A day here, a day there.
In the short term, missing fitness doesn't seem to make a difference.
It's hard to notice until one day, it becomes obvious.
And while it's never too late to begin an exercise routine, the longer you wait, the harder it is:
You have two options:
1) Exercise regularly.
2) Or don't.
It's a binary decision.
For a while, the two lines, action and inaction, feel similar.
Then one day the difference becomes jarring.

It's hard to find time to exercise.
But you don't need to do a lot. Start small.
Just move. Today, just walk for 15 mins.
Life's busy. Finding time is hard.
But if you don't make time for exercise now, you'll be forced to make time for disease later.
Don't let that happen.

Anyone know how to kill or at least quieten the "logic/corporate" mind to allow for a creative to shine through? Asking for myself. I'm tired of my own bullshit 🤣
@Shane_Hunter Lucky. I could only have like 50mg within 6-6.30am if I wanted to sleep by midnight/1am. Any later and it's 4/5am and a brief "nap" before the alarm.
I do not miss my PT gym days.
@WholesomeMeme I remember when this came around the first time and I was sat in my late mother's apartment after she pew-pew'd herself in the head a week prior. I laughed and cried so hard at the timing. That was 5 years ago.
9 months of visiting BJJ gyms across Europe and finally making it home to Kenya to this new BJJ gym in Nairobi with THIS VIEW is unreal. I have big plans and this is a great spot to inspire them and carry on getting the work done 💜
It's crazy how being reminded that rolling black outs are a norm in Nairobi changes my wanting a fully detached house to a nicely nested townhouse to live in 😅 imagine just randomly being attacked by a monkey trying to turn on the generator.
My god I've become soft 🤣
