This is incorrect. The Interpol team in South Africa is made up of SAPS officers who are assigned to the SAPS Interpol National Central Bureau. They are South African police officers, employed by SAPS, who specialise in international policing and cooperation.
Interpol itself is not a global police force with its own officers who go around making arrests. It is an international organisation that helps police agencies in different countries share information, track suspects and coordinate investigations.
Every member state staffs its Interpol office with its own police officers. In Zimbabwe, the Interpol office is made up of Zimbabwe Republic Police officers. In Rwanda, it is staffed by Rwanda National Police officers. In Namibia, it is staffed by Namibian Police Force officers. Likewise, in South Africa, the Interpol office is staffed by SAPS officers assigned to the SAPS Interpol National Central Bureau.
Therefore, if someone was located through Interpol channels and arrested in South Africa, the arrest was still carried out by SAPS officers, including those serving in the SAPS Interpol division. Saying, “Interpol arrested him, not SAPS,” is like saying the Hawks arrested someone but not SAPS. The Hawks are part of SAPS, and so is South Africa’s Interpol unit.
In short, Interpol is a system of international police cooperation, not an independent global police force with its own officers making arrests around the world.
Some Zimbabweans are already directing hostility at fellow Zimbabweans returning from South Africa. Yet we're expected to buy into this Pan African love story in South Africa?
UK houses are basically weather bunkers. Double/triple glazing, insulation, central heating, and solid enough to still be standing when your great-grandkids argue over the inheritance. Different climate, different engineering, different price.
There is a tweet out there where someone said "There is a type of lifestyle you'll see international students living in the University and you just know their parents are the problem of their country"
The reason why Zimbabwe and Nigeria are extremely dysfunctional countries is because the mindset of the people is " everyone for himself". But when these people move to South Africa they demand fairness, african unity, and open boarders after destroying their countries.
Every time black South Africans are under attack, the silence is deafening. The Muslims are quiet. The whites are quiet. The Pan-Africanists vanish. SAHRC finds its voice for everyone except us. The Helen Suzman Foundation is nowhere to be seen. The NGOs disappear. Our own government abandons us. The Africa Union & UN looks away. The so-called African leaders have nothing to say. Then, the moment we demand nothing more than the enforcement of South Africa’s laws, we’re branded “xenophobic.”
Black South Africans, no one is coming to save or fight for you. If we don’t stand up for ourselves, no one else will. Our future will be secured by us, or it won’t be secured at all.
This is a lie. There is a active, meanginful, direct and indirect campaign to reduce hunger in South Africa led by the NGOs that fight for everyone. Do many things but dont lie. The SAHRC is having hunger hearings holding retailers accountable as we speak.
He was against Feroz Khan coming to the Adhoc Committee. He defended Andrea Johnson at the Adhoc Committee. Back then we thought he was being genuine kanti he’s protecting his own interests.
