@DrJoeAbah Just thinking of a smart way to fix the blaring noise from two of my neighbors generators without offending them.. The "noises" are hellishly disturbing.
My Dear Brother Aliko,
First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering support and belief in actualizing this monumental achievement under his administration. This day belongs to every Nigerian who has dared to dream of a better future. Congratulations to our great nation—today, we all stand a little taller.
Aliko, it feels like just yesterday, but it has been 25 long years since we first set our sights on transforming Nigeria’s energy landscape. I remember vividly when we set up the Blue Star Consortium to acquire stakes in the Kaduna and Port Harcourt refineries—20% for me and 51% for you. We were ready to change the game, but fate had other plans. The government of the day, in an act I can only describe as utterly obnoxious, canceled our stakes and thwarted our vision. But, as always, you refused to be deterred.
You never gave up on the dream we shared. You carried the torch forward, igniting a spark that has today become a roaring flame. And now, 25 years later, here we stand on the precipice of history, with the first fuel shipment from the Dangote Refinery—a feat that is nothing short of miraculous.
While the Kaduna and Port Harcourt refineries have remained dormant, their promise unfulfilled despite billions of dollars spent on so-called turn-around maintenance, you have achieved what many said was impossible. You have beaten all the skeptics, silenced the naysayers, and proved wrong those who doubted your resolve, even those who never wanted this project to succeed.
You have not just built a refinery; you have liberated us from the chains of economic dependence that have held this nation back for far too long. The days of bowing to foreign powers for our fuel needs are over, thanks to your vision and determination. You have dealt a death blow to the so-called local cabals who have fattened themselves for years, feeding off our nation’s economic slavery. These cabals, who have grown rich by keeping Nigeria in a perpetual state of dependence, must now face the reality that their era of easy gains is coming to an end.
I am reminded of the time you revolutionized the cement industry in Nigeria. Ships that once brought in cement turned into rusting relics, scraps of a bygone era. Now, with your refinery in full swing, I foresee a similar fate for fuel imports. The depot owners should take heed—it’s time to dismantle those depots and sell them as scraps while the market is still high. The world has changed, and those who do not adapt will be left behind.
When I ventured into the depot business with Zenon, it was in response to the inefficiencies of the NNPC. Zenon pioneered the diesel business in Nigeria and quickly became the largest in the country, filling the gaps left by our inefficient system. But today, your refinery stands as a beacon of what is possible when one has the audacity to dream and the tenacity to see it through.
Aliko, you have my deepest admiration and respect. Congratulations to you and the entire board, management and staff of Dangote Refinery on this monumental achievement. This is not just a victory for you but for every Nigerian who dares to dream. May this be just the beginning of even greater things to come.
With profound respect and warmest regards,
F. Ote$

ADVISORIES:
1.Drink lots of water.
2.As much as possible, find air-conditioned places to cool off.
3.Do not leave kids in a closed, parked vehicle.
4.For the outdoors, use a hat and sunshades.
5.Keep infants well-aerated and hydrated.
It is laughable to hear some Nigerians say the Dollar was not like this under Buhari. This is the ignorance that destroys Nigeria. And we call it sense. We do not know. And we do not know that we do not know. And instead of learning, we want to say what we do not know. The Naira was being artificially defended with $1.5 billion monthly under Buhari. Please research it. If I am lying, expose me. Now that has been stopped. Because Nigeria is broke. And those who used to lend us that $1.5 billion, which we used to defend the Naira monthly, are also broke.
Nobody is coming to save Nigeria. Please fact-check me: The UK officially entered into a recession last week. Japan slipped into recession, too. And the twenty-nation Eurozone is tottering on the edge of recession. Russia is obsessed with its war with Ukraine. America is focused on immigration. And China's GDP growth is projected to slow down to 4.6% in 2024 from 5.4% in 2023, according to the International Monetary Fund.
There is no one to save us but ourselves. There is only one solution.

@czarohm Yes, it's possible. Just like I told someone. As bad as our HOSs seemed to be, we haven't seen any spectacular governor neither. It's a shame.
PARACETAMOL❗
This will be a bit lengthy. So, bookmark and repost if you don't have time to read it now.
I know paracetamol is one of the most popular drugs out there. Many have used it this morning already. There's this WRONG perception that paracetamol is very safe. Well, it is not as safe as we thought.
The daily maximum dose currently is 4g which is 8 tablets. But I've seen people who use more and this is dangerous. About 20% of paracetamol used is processed in the intestinal walls while the remaining is processed in the liver. Part of the product of paracetamol in the liver is little amount of a toxic compound called n-acetyl-p-benzoquinone imine or NAPQI for short. This toxic NAPQI is
quickly detoxified by a substance called glutathione.
When paracetamol is taken in overdose or even the right dose is taken too regularly, the rate of use of glutathione in the body may be less than the rate of production. If glutathione is used up and excess NAPQI isn't removed, NAPQI can then build up and damage the liver. Just few days of paracetamol overdose is enough to damage the liver.
I read that the United States FDA has even reduced the amount of paracetamol per tablet from 500mg to 325mg just to stay safe from overdosing on the drugs. Many countries, including Nigeria still use 500mg though.
Continuous use of paracetamol can also cause intestinal bleeding. It was thought that only NSAID like Ibuprofen have this effect before. However, in 2011, Professor Michael Doherty, a rheumatologist at Nottingham University, conducted a study involving nearly 900 patients aged 40 and above suffering from chronic knee pain. The study analyzed the effects of paracetamol, ibuprofen, or a combination of both over a period of 13 weeks. The results were unexpected: a significant proportion of participants, comparable to those taking ibuprofen, experienced internal bleeding, despite being on paracetamol.
There are many other studies on different negative effects of paracetamol on kidney, heart and so on. But this does not mean paracetamol is a bad drug. So, read the following recommendations.
1. Only use paracetamol when it is very NECESSARY
2. Do not take more than 2 tablets at a time. You can take another set in the next 8 hours
3. Don't use alcohol to take paracetamol. Detoxifying ethanol in your gins and beer needs glutathione. Paracetamol also need glutathione. If glutathione is used up, NAPQI is retained in the liver... problem!
4. Know that paracetamol isn't something one just takes at the slightest incidence of pain or aches. Most headaches are due to dehydration sef. All people need is to drink water and wait a while. But because they drink water while taking drugs, they feel it is the paracetamol that worked.
5. You don't need paracetamol like you think you do. The excessive trust some people have in paracetamol is making them use it at will. The placebo effect makes them think paracetamol is helping but that's not the case. Reprogram your mind. You don't need to take paracetamol every time you come from work.
6. You slept on the floor because if the heat and now you woke up with body pains? Try and take your bath and move around first. The pain will go. You don't need to take paracetamol for it.
7. When taking paracetamol with other drugs, check them out to see whether they have paracetamol too. It may help you prevent overdosing. If you have catarrh and headache for example and you take Procold and Paracetamol, you probably will slightly overdose as Procold contains paracetamol too.
8. Whenever you eat at a canteen and the meat is very soft, stylishly ask them what they used. I have learnt that some of them use paracetamol to boil meat. Wàhálà!
Finally, all I've written here is general. Individuals may have different scenarios and conditions. So, I know what I wrote here isn't all encompassing. Please share this article, it could prevent someone from damaging their liver.
Tainkyu 😊
We keep talking about releasing grains from the national reserves, why are we not talking about productivity?
Why are we not talking about opening 10,000 ha in each local government ?
Why are we not talking about how to subsidize agricultural inputs for farmers?
We never ready.
Dear Reno. Thanks for your wisdom diet as usual. One verse settled this conversation in the Qur'an:...then marry the women that seem good to you: two, or three, or four. If you fear that you will not be able to treat them justly, then marry (only) one.. An-Nisa v3.
Is Polygamy a Sin?
I have repeatedly been asked to give my views on the issue of polygamy, and the pressure keeps building. Primarily due to the increase of prostate cancer in our society. I have offered my views before, and perhaps those asking me for my thoughts are unaware.
On polygamy, when you consider it biologically, only 3% of mammals are monogamous for life. Please fact-check me. When you now break it down further into mammals that are primates, the number drops significantly to 1%. Biologically, the sexual libido of a male mammal, be it human beings, lions, rabbits, or other species, is too high to be accommodated by one female. This is a biological fact. Male primates have a higher sexual drive than females, except in very rare cases where there have been hormonal defects.
Now, when you look at it Scripturally, the views I will give here are my own interpretations based solely on devoted study of Scripture and not something that the Holy Spirit told me. It is also not the standard view in Pentecostal, Evangelical or mainstream view of Christendom. This is purely and simply my personal opinion based on my study of Scripture.
I am legally married to only one wife. I have never been married to two women simultaneously.
However, I do not condemn polygamy. For the following reasons:
1.God Himself gave David multiple wives. As we can see from the following verse of Scripture:
"I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more."-2 Samuel 12:18.
1.Abraham, Jacob, David, and many other patriarchs and pastors were polygamous.
1.I am not sure that one woman can satisfy the sexual libido of one man for a lifetime, especially given that biologically, women experience menopause in their forties, which comes with decreased libido. In contrast, biologically, men can maintain their libido into their eighties. What is a married man to do in such circumstances?
1.Scripture prescribes monogamy and even total abstinence for only Bishops. We see this in the following verses:
"A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;"-1 Timothy 3:2.
"It is good for them to remain unmarried, as I am."-1 Corinthians 7:8.
Having said the above, it would seem that BEFORE the fall, when man was still innocent, God's intention was for monogamy. The reason I say this is because He created only one wife for Adam, and His definition of marriage appears to support one man and one wife, as we can see from Genesis 2:24:
"That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh."
However, after the fall of man, men and women were punished differently-Genesis 3:16-19.
As a result, different things happened to their bodies when man fell and lost perfection. One of the differences is that their biological clocks were no longer in equal alignment. Men retained virility much longer than women, which may be (this is an opinion, not an insight from Scripture or the Spirit) why God allowed polygamy after the fall.
In conclusion, I believe that polygamy is not a sin, and that it is better than adultery, and gay marriage. But these are my personal views, and I could be wrong, and because I could be wrong, I don't want to mislead people, or undermine their faith. Especially as we will each individually give accounts of our lives to our Creator. Therefore, approach God in prayer and get your own enlightenment on this issue.
Thank you for reading, and may God bless you.
