@MagsNoctis I love it, but Harry (like Snape and Voldemort) is a half-blood, not a muggle born (like Hermione). Blood purists like Malfoid are extremely aware of everyone's blood status 24/7; She wouldn't call Harry a mud-blood. She'd call Harry a half-blood or call his mother a mud-blood.
@qiandaiyiyu Great piece of work, I like it. But the insult you're looking for is "mudblood", which is reserved for wizards born to two muggle parents. Harry is a half-blood, not a muggle born. Blood status is extremely important to pure-bloods like Draco; He would not call Harry a mudblood.
@indigo_bg@rem8ana Maybe not including native US Spanish speakers, but yeah: Europeans are typically more multilingual than Americans are. But that doesn't mean Europeans all speak English at the native speaker level.
@omeowcomics If memory serves: In the books Harry uses sectumsempra in self defense when Malfoy tries to use the cruciatus curse on him. It causes unimaginable pain and is one of the three unforgivable curses.
@KingJulian0013@FWPlayboy I'm well aware of that and you're right to point it out, but yes. There are times when you have to choose between what you desire and what's best for the people you love. Once you start replacing your spouse with other people, the marriage is effectively dead already.
@postmanShmerg Yeah, there's a reason the Eldian characters look the way they do, all have German sounding names and that the area inside the walls is described as "about the same size of Germany".
@klkmanitordx@ashanti_42840 Good point, though the silly "rules" of the whiteness game say that what your European ancestry is mixed with is just as important as how much actual European ancestry you have. 50% European/50% East Asian = Functionally White. 75% European/25% African = Usually considered Black.
@JustAnIranianIr@evolutionaryen2 The guy does have a point. Personally I'm well aware that Iranians aren't Islamic radicals or even Arabs, that they are a unique people with a long and distinguished history. But that's not widely known here in Europe or America; Iran's leadership has ruined it's public image.
@black_lancers@MarbleBust84 Gypsies literally originated in northern India, arriving in Europe around the 14th century. Once there they forgot their religion and a lot of their culture, but they never fully integrated.
@OrdinariateUSA There's some truth to what you're saying, but lots of European countries have Christian Democrat political parties that are openly rooted in the Christian faith. Friedrich Mertz, current leader of Germany, is actually a member of one.
@BigWave372 In the Netherlands we have a fun tradition called Sinterklaas (the origin of Santa Claus). But ours doesn't have elves - he has Zwarte Piet ("Black Pete") as a helper. Pic related. Zwarte Piet traditionally also wears a bonnet ๐
@VoidVoicecHere The anti-AI folks have a point in that the training data for the AI is often real art taken without permission or compensation. But let's be honest, there's also strong elements of gatekeeping, bruised ego and envy fueling their backlash.
@Diversity_2112@Yippiekiyay6 Yeah, I realize it's bird shot just from the size of the lead balls. But she probably doesn't. And neither would most people who don't regularly come into contact with firearms. I'm just trying to say it's not super weird that she's a little alarmed.
