Serious talk time before the big event: Every now and then, I come across opinions that lean toward elitism in the wotagei community.

Don't get me wrong. I love watching beautifully polished move, and I have a deep appreciation for the skill and dedication it takes to reach that level. But we also have to remember that a community built only around skill can quickly become an unwelcoming one.

With the Wotagei World Cup USA Qualifier just around the corner, I want to encourage everyone to show good sportsmanship.

First and foremost, I want to applaud every single person who had the courage to sign up and compete. Walking onto a stage in front of judges and over a hundred spectators is not easy. It takes confidence, vulnerability, and passion. Every contestant deserves respect simply for having the courage to step forward and give it their all.

Please cheer for one another. Celebrate each other's performances. Encourage growth.

Most importantly, please do not discourage others or make fun of someone if they don't perform as well as they had hoped. Every great player was once a beginner, and every strong contestant has had performances they wish they could do over.

The moment we lose inclusivity and respect, we begin to lose the community itself. Skills may inspire people to join, but kindness, encouragement, and respect are what make them stay.

Let's make this event something everyone can be proud to be a part of. Thank you 🙏

Hololive Merch Price Hike

A lot of the “limited” merch definitely goes through a “price Hike” when they stop being unavailable. At first I was going to say “scalp” but I don’t feel that’s entirely the case. As many people commented, some people definitely buy the items to scalp the price but I think a lot of it does do with these items just not being available anymore. But people charging upwards of $100+ for items are a bit insane
