We criticize Morocco for dominating CAF and enjoying preferential treatment, but the uncomfortable truth is that time and again, they have stepped in to save African football from embarrassment.
Very few African countries are truly ready and willing to host CAF tournaments. Côte d’Ivoire once withdrew as hosts just weeks before a major competition and you probably can’t remember the last time a country like Nigeria 🇳🇬 hosted a CAF football tournament.

When you consistently provide infrastructure, organization, and last minute solutions, you’re bound to reap loyalty in return . Whether we like it or not.
