The decision was made by 3 administrators and 1 nurse - zero mention of a consultant.

🤷 A deputy CEO with an administrative background raised concerns that some children appeared to be “improperly listed.”

Where was the consultant oversight?

Who authorised the suspension of these children?

Tomorrow the Spinal Taskforce meets - for the first time since 8 May 🤷

In those months, children have continued to wait and suffer. Families have been forced to fight for basic care. And our community has faced the devastating loss of Harvey.

And yet, there is no urgency in this Taskforce. No urgency to act. No urgency to communicate. The minutes from their last meeting are still not published … despite this being the only place parents are told to look for updates.

This silence is not communication. This delay is not accountability. It is an insult to children and families living with the brutal reality of delays in care every single day.

So tomorrow the Dáil finally resumes. To all politicians heading in tomorrow, please keep Harvey at the forefront of your mind. Think of all the children languishing and suffering on the waitlists in @CHI_Ireland . Think of all the children at home in pain because they can’t get their health care needs met, or even the basic equipment they need to support their growing bodies. Think of all the children at home because yet again, we can’t provide the school places they need. The mistreatment of our disabled children needs to finally come to an end. No longer will we be quiet and accept the bare minimum. These children deserve so much better than they have been given. This is something that will absolutely be my red line coming in to the presidential election and it should be yours too.

❌ Children like Hannah Keogh who featured in RTE Primetime wait in pain while this so-called Taskforce shows ZERO urgency.

⏰ Parents didn’t take months off – we marched for Harvey, we had to keep fighting, we had to keep speaking out.
