Carney planned to walk away from the trade deal no matter what. It was a Democrat-led midterm strategy. Negotiators approached the Trump administration saying they were ready to make a deal and spent days working on it.

All along, Carney intended to tank it, and Democrat-aligned news platforms already had prewritten propaganda queued up. Trump saw it coming and pivoted.

Carney did not expect Trump to rename Lake Ontario.

That move took the wind out of the round-the-clock stories they had planned about how Trump’s “bullying” had backfired against Carney.🤣🤣🤣

President Obama has been quite busy lately. He's at it again.

First he is photographed going into 10 Downing Street in London to meet with the UK PM.

Next thing we see him photographed meeting with Canadian PM Carney.

Each time we see Obama meeting with foreign government officials shortly thereafter some new roadblock to peace (between Russia – Ukraine) and trade (Canada) suddenly erupts.

0bama’s actions need to be brought up to the people and an investigation needs to happen.

This is meddling in the current administration’s affairs.

We have never had a former President act this way.

Ryerson University is now Toronto Metropolitan.

Then Trump signed a piece of paper calling it Lake America, and the entire country discovered overnight that names are sacred, history matters, and you cannot simply decide to call a place something else.

Peter MacKay is correct.
The very reason they haven’t released the details of the deal Carney walked away from is because it will expose the truth. Carney made up the reasons to walk away. He never wanted a deal.
The entire event of him cancelling it including his press conference seemed over the top and ridiculous, that’s what you do when you are trying to play people for fools.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith does a fantastic jobs breaking it down:

"I cannot think of a more disastrous policy decision than cutting off or taxing Alberta's oil to the United States."

> US will respond with a 50%–100% tariff on fuels supplied to Ontario and Quebec.
> US refineries would replace Alberta heavy crude with Venezuelan oil, cutting Canada off as a supplier permanently.

What most Canadians don't seem to realize is that the current oil prices is generating substantial taxes for governments that softens the blow of the tariffs, and big portion of it comes from the US.
