Pretty much every member of the cabinet has tweeted some version of “it’s all very sad what’s happened but sacking the boss would be worse” - apart from Wes Streeting, Yvette Cooper, Ed Miliband and Shabana Mahmood
Less than five hours after he was elected the first Reform councilor has had to stand down after revelations of 'electoral irregularities' are discovered.
A brilliant piece of writing by our very own ‘National Treasure’ Beatrix Campbell (@beatrixcampbell) - Blog Article “Melanie Gill: Witch Hunt?”

I'm sure Victoria Derbyshire isn't the answer for everyone but she is honest and interviews with the utmost impartiality we have begged the @BBC to allow her to do more political programs for years if they don't listen to their viewers, we must stop watching the BBC altogether!
I've never made a complaint to the BBC before, but I've found Chris Mason's reporting of the Starmer situation of the past few days so biased that I've been prompted to do so; his job is to faithfully, and fairly, report on events rather than attempt to shape them #chrismason
I am profoundly and bottomlessly ashamed of @BBCBreakfast & @BBCNews in general due to its flagrant & reckless misrepresentation of the current political situation in this country.
Joeph Goebbels would be proud of you, you utter charlatans @hzeffman@ChrisMasonBBC. Shame on you!
The media are now claiming it was Angela Raynor who saved the PM , therefore saving the Govt & the Country from certain instability
NO
It was the Cabinet & PLP who, after gazing into the abyss came to their senses.
AND
The majority of grass roots party members who contacted them.
Henry.
I am not a "Starmer outrider"
I am a legitimate political activist with a record of years of public service.
If I was discourteus- which I am not -I might describe you as an "anti Labour outrider".
But I'm not playing your game.
Just do your job.
Seems to me the dominant voices in our politics are now the commentators - who have no skin in the game ( but for whom it IS a game) & who compete to be best informed/ most intelligent analysts etc -while the politicians/ those who govern are increasingly muted/ hunted/derided.
Is it just me ?
But it seems there are certain allegedly "high level" journos especially the BBC as well as Peston, Rigby & Co- who have learned zilch from yesterday.
The media generated hysteria that could have brought down a PM & destabilised the country.
They are still at it !
