Since the devastating earthquakes struck Venezuela, President Trump and Secretary Rubio have led efforts to provide rescue and humanitarian relief in solidarity with the Venezuelan people. We have all seen the heartbreaking images of infants and families being rescued from the rubble. The work continues, and the State Department-led effort has been clear from the outset: to provide humanitarian assistance to the Venezuelan people and save as many lives as possible.

Delcy Rodríguez, Diosdado Cabello, and the rest of their cronies should know that the United States is monitoring this situation very closely, and they had better not interfere with or sabotage these humanitarian relief efforts.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families of those who have lost loved ones and pray that God as many lives as possible can still be saved during these critical hours.

It is important to recognize the heroic efforts of U.S. first responders as well as those of regional partners, including El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, and others, who have deployed their finest men and women to assist in this lifesaving mission.

We stand in unwavering solidarity with the Venezuelan people.
