Today the children had lots of loose parts play while decorating the outdoor Christmas tree. The children created a cosy Santa house. What kind team work and communication skills.
This morning , we welcomed a kindness elf to the class. Our first task was to find a name . After lots of fantastic ideas , we finally agreed on Snowman ! We discussed how in the UNCRC we are born with a right to a name.
Inspired by St Andrews day celebrations the children showed excellent planning and hand eye co-ordination as the children built a Houston castle . This castle had a “peep eye hole” to see who is at the door and a “giant” chair for the king of Scotland.
Today we were exploring Scotland . The children made their own Scottish flags. This supported children to explore shapes, patterns and all children showed confidence in following step by step instructions.
Thank you to Primary 5a for helping our children discuss road safety. Today the session explored what clothes help us in the dark or is reflective to ensure drivers can see us on the pedestrian crossings.

“ Winter Warmer” last night. We celebrated our final session with a story, singing with Miss Tait (otherwise known as Ladybug) and a warm campfire with s’mores.
This morning the children in small world area continued their curiosity about space . With Mrs Pollock the children explored size, counting to 10 and different planets.
