8/11 The application form is short and requires only basic information about the archives and how the NDRFA grant will be used. Applications are approved within five business days and checks mailed immediately after approval. #PresTC21

7/11 Grants are for up to $5000 and can be used in the direct recovery of materials; services like freeze drying, of materials; supplies, including acid-free boxes and folders; and to defray the costs for volunteers or other laborers who assist with recovery. #PresTC21

3/11 Since the inception of the fund, the NDRFA has funded 47 grants totalling over #112K. Support has been provided to archives in the contiguous US, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. #PresTC21

2/11 The NDRFA was established after Hurricane Katrina by the @SWarchivists and @archivists. Originally the fund was restricted to archives affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, however now any archive affected by a disaster may apply. No SAA affiliation required! #PresTC21

1/11 A disaster can happen to anyone’s archive, causing damages to collections. Hopefully your disasters are small and easy to recover from, but if they’re bigger and you need financial help, reach out to the National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives. #PresTC21
