5/11 @yorktheatrenyc says “The @The NDRFA worked so quickly to turn around our grant application that we knew within a few weeks of flood cleanup that we’d be able to afford the restoration of our most precious original scripts and letters." #PresTC21
4/11 Our most recent recipient is the @yorktheatrenyc, who received a grant after a devastating flood damaged their theater, including their irreplaceable archive. #PresTC21
3/11 Since the inception of the fund, the NDRFA has funded 47 grants totalling over #112K. Support has been provided to archives in the contiguous US, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. #PresTC21
2/11 The NDRFA was established after Hurricane Katrina by the @SWarchivists and @archivists. Originally the fund was restricted to archives affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, however now any archive affected by a disaster may apply. No SAA affiliation required! #PresTC21
1/11 A disaster can happen to anyone’s archive, causing damages to collections. Hopefully your disasters are small and easy to recover from, but if they’re bigger and you need financial help, reach out to the National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives. #PresTC21
@RLFifield At this point it’s not my work any more. It’s the work of the thousands of people who have sent letters and shared so other people can also send letters.
