He's not just not human, he's the entire engine. The only programmer is Kinger, the rest of them were taken by C&A at random intervals. Or rather, taken by Caine himself via the VR headsets.

2nd theory thread for #theamazindigitalcircus, though this one will be much shorter.

First thing my programmer buddy asked while watching the therapy scene with Caine & Zooble was "is that a command?" Right after Zooble said "forget it".

And I think he's right. It IS 1/3

A command. It's why Caine can never seem to remember why they're depressed. Caine obeys the command immediately after Zooble says it.

It would also explain why Caine forgets about the suggestion box until it's pointed out. The players have to direct him to it. They forget 2/3

For awhile, longer than Pomni has been here. Caine has been glitchy since the start of the series, and it's gotten rapidly worse.

I have an additional theory but I think its best for a separate thread.

Re-watched all of #theamazindigitalcircus with a programmer friend over the weekend, and oh boy. Really changed the experience. He was able to explain a lot of things that we (my friends who made him watch it) just fully did not catch. Esp Kinger/Zooble's effects 1/11

Entire Tent and surrounding maps loaded for Zooble (and Kinger once) to be able to wander around. I think the constant usage of both has been causing Caine to deteriorate faster than he would have otherwise. The game engine has been running at the limit of its RAM 10/11
