Nursery children made an amazing upside down pineapple cake this week as part of their sunshine and shadows topic. It looked fabulous! The children also made sunny sunshine collages.
Year 6 have enjoyed watching The Virtual Big Sing this afternoon #VBS2021. What a wonderful experience watching all the celebrities singing some of the songs they are going to perform for their families at the Leavers' Picnic!

Green zone are enjoying their DT project. They are designing and making Marionette Puppets and they will use these to perform their own puppet shows! They are busy working as engineers and are currently at the design stage. The drawings are all looking fabulous!
Nursery were very excited to release their butterflies. After watching the caterpillars grow and grow, then build a cocoon around themselves, they finally emerged as beautiful butterflies.
Children in Reception have been making their own Supertato inspired by the story of the same name. They designed their own Supertato first & thought about the qualities of a superhero. We think they look fantastic!

Years 5 & 6 have been busy making Anderson shelters as part of their WWII topic. We have learnt why and how they were built and constructed some out of clay. We are currently designing the insides now by carefully considering what should go inside.
Nursery have been learning about rainbows. The children made rainbows, created rainbow collages & Elmer pictures. They also looked at the colours of a rainbow in giant bubbles and danced along to rainbow colour songs.

We are happy to be supporting HERBY our local hedgehog rescue centre. They are so caring & helpful. We find poorly hedgehogs on school grounds & HERBY nurse them back to health. We are collecting donations for them!
