1. I've long wondered how nations slide into authoritarianism. Why do people accept the loss of their freedoms? Why do they not rise up together against oppression? Now that it's happening in the UK, I think I have an answer. Thread/
@implausibleblog One thing often missed about the Nazi regime is that they never broke any laws. They just changed the law. This is hanging in the imperial war museum.
@MarieGardiner Fraid so. The law was changed a couple of weeks ago and now this can be an offence. Police can arrest without evidence of any wrongdoing.
