If you have a friend who is a pharmacist and they haven’t contacted you recently, then just message them and say you are thinking of lending your antibiotics to someone. Before you have finished the . you will get a call telling you how bad an idea it is with PowerPoint slides.
It is extremely concerning that the Health Secretary has been providing prescription only drugs to friends and family. Prescription only medication should be obtained from regulated healthcare professionals. #Antibiotics
‘Freely available’ No medication in my pharmacy as a responsible Pharmacist is freely available. It’s at my discretion and I know I may have to justify my actions to supply or not. #antibiotics
@pharmthorrun I never promise anything !!!! The whole process is not under your control :) don’t promise the stock will come in don’t promise the script will be sent from GP ! You could end up closed the next day so don’t promise anything :p
@Al_Paterson94 @PharmaSte We have the same - virtual appointments are great for some but the patients now view GPS as completely inaccessible :/ picking up on simple things they should be doing all the time now!
@jon_silcock@pharmthorrun Staff management, saying no to situations you know have to be said no to- when under pressure from patients and non-pharm staff. The best training day I had as a pre ref took us through every potential ‘bad’ thing that could happen- ie, CD discrepancy, GPHC inspection etc
@SaltyHarrumph @marjonanne @essexoldbird @antrad51 That would be a trained pharmacist. A registered healthcare professional with 5 years of study. Not just ‘someone at boots’ I’m afraid.
@pharmthorrun Happened to me a few times over the past few months - ‘I need to speak to the pharmacist’ they say whilst gesturing at the male Locum dispenser. I’m like ‘sure what can I do for you?’ Their faces 😂😂 I’m often serving as I love talking to people. I don’t hide round the back!
This week and last I have had the pleasure and honour of providing support and an induction to two Prov-reg pharmacists. Both have been fantastic RPs and I look forwards to working with them going forwards. Can’t believe that was me a year ago. ⭐️⭐️ @KeelePharmSci@LJMU
