This is Eleanor's Attorney Eleanor died late last night of tuberculosis. She sure lived a long inspirational life and will be missed by many, but we all know she is in a better place.

Over the years I earned many awards for my time in the white house but, one of my biggest awards was United Nations Prize in the Field of Human Rights. This award is given to people that are intended to honor and commend people and organizations which have changed human rights.

After my husband died I still stayed very active. I wrote 16 books and even hosted my own tv show “Prospects of Mankind” for a few years.

On April 12, 1945 my husband died. So I unfortunately had to leave my position of 1st lady, but it didn’t matter I had already left my mark for generations of women to come.

@MsVanBee the role of the First Lady was traditionally restricted to domesticity and acting as a hostess. Eleanor transformed the role and was more active than any First Lady before her. She used her position as a platform for her social activism and continued with her business.

I have traveled the world being the eyes and ears of my husband. I don't think my husband realizes it but if he didn't have me he would be lost. #husbandandwifegoals

While being in office I changed lots of things for example, I made women a more active example in the white house.

My husband often times does not want me or other women in the office with him. But I have made sure and changed that.
