Perhaps they want the extra time because they don't know the exact date, or it's possibly for after Oct 22nd expiration before Nov. Can't be sure.

@BenintheBullpen I was looking at Ched. Flow. 500k+ premiums, sweeps. 65% bullish (1st img). I filtered for 1 week (2nd img) subtracted out calls and puts, ended up with 85% bearish. Seems to me we have a very short window left of this bullishness and in fact flow appears more bullish than it is.

@wolveran1 @BenintheBullpen Well let's talk about the earnings. We're at a low beat rate compared to where we'd typically be at this point in the earnings season and this was on low guidance. Also some companies (MSFT) guiding lower for the next quarter.
