Improving safety with a new consumer unit, separate isolators and improved earthing.

Replacing a cramped, insufficient Consumer Unit with a new unit. Full segregation of circuits, all clearly labelled. All circuits were tested during the process, and some relatively minor yet important faults were identified and fixed.

Today, my client asked me to replace tired old heaters with these ones with glass fronts and remote WiFi controls via an App. How smart is that !

Now, new LED wall lights have breathed new life. Soft & warm white.

Upgrading lights throughout the house. Well-chosen by the client for the interior, others suggested by me.
There was alot of tidying up of cables to make them neat or hidden where possible,

I particularly like making people safer. So I swapped an on/off broken porch light for a modern bright LED with motion sensor.
It welcomes you home, lights the steps, help you find the key lock.
Plus it shines a light on any unwanted guests.

Tiding up a home office: add a socket with USB ports above desk level, installing trunking to contain all the cables, & re-routing or shortening cables where possible. I forgot to take a 'before' photo, there were cables all over the floor. A simple but rewarding little job.

No electrical work today, as I was driving the Risborough Area Community Bus. The weather was a challenge, but the views were beautiful and the passengers were happy.

Replacing a long-broken outside light with an LED light that will reliable illuminate the front pathway steps for years ahead. Safety first. If it looks good too, that's superb.

This was a very complicated job to re-locate the main consumer unit in a big house. And in the process, raising the standard of safety from moderate to current standards. (I, like all electricians, take pride in doing this).
