@jonyyboyyy@AF_Deplorables Interest is a sin. A sin to charge interest or a sin to pay interest? Any interest or just excessive interest? What is the threshold between the two? Is it just related to money? What if i give someone vanilla after they give me sugar? Is that a form of interest?
@CoreyWriting Thereโs not really an economy for false lashes or crab boils in SF, things that would attract the prototypical AA entrepreneur. market demand for such items does exist in a place like Atlanta, however.
@besttrousers You are literally agreeing with the article. Such frivolities carry almost no significant economic expenditure while simultaneously carrying the appearance that they do, especially to older people.
@BirdGuySky@besttrousers So nothing that seems racist can ever even have the possibility of being true or correct?
How it must suck to go through lie operating within such restrictions
@BrigadeCorona@JamesSurowiecki@RichardHanania Itโs effectively unchanged. If the same amount of people are surviving to adulthood or long enough to have children of their own, it makes zero difference.
I know youโre trying to defeat in detail but you know exactly what I meant when I said it
@zspencer9735@RichardHanania If they could manage to develop, they would have done so by this point. Donโt you think? Itโs not for lack of trying by the rest of the planet.
@BrigadeCorona@JamesSurowiecki@RichardHanania Sure, i was 100% wrong. The birth rate went from 7 per women where 4 survive to adulthood to 4 per woman where 4 survive to adulthood.
@Hip_Chimp@RichardHanania If you can capitalize on the productive capacity of the population, sure. Humans typically can produce more than they consume per capita.
Thatโs never going to happen in Africa.
@BrigadeCorona@RichardHanania 7 children per woman and only 3 survive to adulthood vs 4 and all 4 survive
Population still goes up more quickly despite fewer births
@HarksenNiels@RichardHanania Africa can never transition into a developed continent. They will never have an economy like the Americas or the Pacific Rim.
@JamesSurowiecki@RichardHanania Itโs still what 5 births per woman? Down from 7 when infant/child mortality was many times higher?
If a woman has 7 children but only 3 survive to adulthood compared to 5 but all 5 survive, the population will go up more rapidly even if birth rate is lower.
