So what happens when you pose Year 6 a design challenge? Challenge was to create a piece of fire fighting equipment that could be used stationary at individual houses to protect from future bushfires. @LEGO_Education @AlphaBalzer @stem_T4L @DoE_STEM

Challenged Year 4 to create something that moved. They have never used @LEGO_Education EV3 before. With a bit of help to sort the codes, they used problem solving to work through the faults and created this catapult. I was blown away. @AlphaBalzer @stem_T4L @DoE_STEM

The LEGO EV3 has been a huge hit with the senior school. Year 5 and 6 have been creating “nanobots” to fight viruses, linking into their unit microorganisms. Some great functional designs. @DoE_STEM @stem_T4L @AlphaBalzer

First lesson of the year with the #beebots and Year 2 nailed it. A lesson on how to code and create at the same time. The challenge was creating their own obstacle course and writing code that another bot could follow and debugging when needed. Next lesson, debugging. @stem_T4L
