Ernst & Young were external auditors of the Post Office from 1986 to 2018, the entire period of the Horizon IT scandal.
Post office accounts always received a clean bill of health.
In parliament I have asked the Govt to investigate the role of auditors.

over a decade ago I wrote 'the patient paradox' - people end up being made into patients when they don't need to be, meantime people who really do need to be patients can't get seen by a professional to be one. everyone loses.
Watching @wesstreeting on @SkyNews this morning; Labour’s plan to cut waiting lists is based on staff working over time. What power does @NHSEngland have to oblige staff to work overtime and what measures will he take to prevent reluctant staff being bullied into ‘volunteering’?

@DevanSinha@mancunianmedic@Elektra@danielgoyal Check the holiday/leave conditions. One of the only downsides of Aussie academia for me was less holiday time (approx 4 weeks in aus vs 6 weeks in uk academia). Either don’t see your family or spend all of your holidays seeing your family (hence no time for aus holidays)
