For the past two months, I’ve been using both Claude Fable 5 and Grok for medical work. Grok was consistently behind Fable 5 in quality, so I sometimes fed it Fable 5’s outputs hoping it would learn — partly because I love how fast Grok is, and partly because I want it to win.
As of today, Grok 4.5 has caught up. It’s matching Fable 5 in quality while being significantly faster and cheaper ($40/month vs $100/month for Claude).
Really impressive progress.
