IITA Forest Center treated #IITA guests from #Biotalys and the #Nigerian Ministry of Environment to a #forestwalk yesterday evening.

💥spot the fiery yellow hue of the sun setting amidst the forest trees..
🦩hear the soothing call of birds welcoming our guests..
🍁sight different indigenous trees native to Africa..
🎋 and the rare PG plant fruiting.

🌳🌿It was also a time to learn of Nigeria’s indigenous trees, their unique properties and uses.
🦥☘️Our guests spotted a green snake crossing off tree branches, insect nests, a large termitarium, and footprint marks of other animals in the forest.

Everyone had a pleasant evening enjoying nature’s therapeutic gifts!!
