An amateur social media user’s attempt to provide useful Rehab, Injury, & Sports Performance content for Coaches, Athletes, Parents, & Healthcare professionals. In the end we all have the same goal: For all Athletes to Perform at their highest level
@stades44 Recently switched to on clouds. Huge fan of them for comfort and looks. Can’t get myself to buy Hoka, Brooks, or ASICS strictly because of looks 🤢
Excited for our new changes for the summer of 2023! This years Summer Sports Performance training will be hosted at Black Hills CrossFit. Excited to get to work with our athletes and add new members to the squad!
One of the things they don’t teach you in PT School is that if you build great relationships with your patients they tell you about the best pork butt sales in the area. One of the many perks of the job.
@natesportsguy 🔑 to Success:
1. Continuity of staff. Hard to build anything w/o stable foundation & frequent turnover.
2. Get kids excited about wearing school colors on Friday Nights. Current players & staff involved w/ youth programs.
3. Brotherhood. Players play for each other. WE > ME
Sometimes its really hard to work in modern medicine.
Today I had a nurse reach out & say you probably saved a patients life, you should be proud of that.
Immediate reminder of the impact we make daily.
More important reminder to lift up other members of healthcare team.
Also if the hold happened at the 16 yard line coming out of the transition of the snag route why can you see the flag flying in the air when Juju is at the goaline and after ball hits the ground in the back of the endzone 🤷♂️
As a former college player to me the biggest indicator that there is no penalty is Juju’s reaction. There is no reaction. He didn’t think he was held. Routine football play. No signs of him looking for a flag.
I don’t like either team but I can’t think of a worse possible ending to an NFL season. That was garbage. Chiefs players didn’t even seem genuinely excited. How is a call like that not reviewable? Woof.
@jeffmooredpt The best worst decision I ever made. Significant increase in stress/responsibility for less compensation on a per hour basis. Led to extreme burnout. Resigned and went full time in a practice with my wife. Now have another great PT working with us. Never enjoyed PT more.
Is Mahomes the only athlete in sports who can flip the bird to the media pregame, be praised the entire game, and be called the greatest of all time post game?
Who benefits from Physical Therapy? My usual response is a good PT can help anyone with pain/movement issues.
Examples from this week:
1. Athlete Set multiple PRs
2. Taught a 103 year old how to hip hinge using a yard stick so they could safely pick stuff up off the floor.
