@itvfootball People complaining about Anthony Barry and Emma Hayes using ‘coach speak’
What do you think ‘central ball losses’ and ‘players on the last line’ mean 😂
It’s hardly rocket science.
Teenage lads who call themselves semi pro
Top tip, you actually have to play semi pro
Having a 1-1 scanning a mannequin while the coach shouts “yes you” while shooting at goal with Warwick Davis as keeper isn’t going to help.
@KathrynBatte Young players would rather play PGA football than drop down leagues 🤷♂️
There’s a balance to be made as PGA can be good for development but some players would benefit more by playing womens football early.
Issue with Middlesbrough is there best chances seem to always fall to Browne, Brittain and Morris.
They never fall to the players who can actually finish half chances.
I watched Dylan Lawler for Cardiff against Aston Villa in the FA cup last year,
He was easily very impressive even though they lost. His passing and ability on the ball was top notch.
Today just seen he scored a wonder goal. Reminds me of a John Stones type player.
@RTranterDesign @secondtierpod I mean you’re not even trying to use any critical thinking on the law, you just keep saying playing distance.
How far away constitutes playing distance? What if they’re the same distance away? How many yards away counts as playing distance? Just all opinions
@RTranterDesign @secondtierpod You’re explaining the same thing.
My point is simple. The defender isn’t in possession until he touches the ball. Blocking someone without being in possession anywhere else on the pitch is obstruction.
Not sure what’s hard to understand.
Also just an opinion, I’m not a ref 🤷♂️
@coreysweet17@secondtierpod Yes, shielded in the corner when he is touching the ball. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.
The whole point is the defender hasn’t touched the ball so can’t be in possession.
Again, anywhere else on the pitch blocking an opponent is a foul
@RTranterDesign @secondtierpod How can you define playing distance if he hasn’t played the ball. When is the cut off in playing distance? Again that’s just subjective.
Shielding is when you have your foot on the ball (in your possession) and you use your body to protect the ball, which is perfectly fine.
@RTranterDesign @secondtierpod So then you’re just ignoring the fact you can’t block or force and change or direction. Surely it’s not under his control until he’s touched it. Playing distance is arbitrary as well, up for interpretation
Never been an advocate of sacking managers but that is 100% a sackable offence.
The stubbornness to not change at all, the subs and the team selection are all on the managers head.
