#TRAFFICALERT: Chicago St will be closed between State (RT 31) + Riverside Dr from 9PM Monday-5AM Tuesday for sewer work. A row of parking spaces on west side of the Metra lot will be closed too. Westbound traffic should use the Kimball St or National St bridge. @downtownelgin

#ElginIL #TRAFFICALERT: @IDOT_Illinois will be performing maintenance on the traffic signal at Route 20 and Nesler Road from approximately 9:00 a.m. to noon. The intersection will be an all-way stop, with major delays expected. Plan ahead and find alternate routes.

MESSAGE FROM #SNOWCOMMAND: #ElginIL received 1.6" of snow. A new shift of drivers are in routes to continue clean up efforts cutting centers + then pushing snow back toward the curb before sunrise. Cul-de-sacs and alleys will be addressed by a contractor overnight as well. ❄️❄️❄️

The next round of precipitation will arrive around noon and continue through the evening rush hour with forecasts calling for up to two inches of snow accumulation. Allow yourself extra travel time so you can take it slow on your commutes today. (2/2)

Crews continue work to televise + clean sewers throughout various areas of the city this week. One along Douglas between Lincoln + Symphony Way through the end of next week. Another in the Near West area and along the Fox River south of Chicago Street . #InvestingInElgin

Crews will begin construction work to install manhole and backflow preventer near the Highland/RT 31 intersection the week of Jan 31 + lasting up to 2 weeks. Westbound traffic on Highland will be reduced to 2 lanes w/ intermediate lane closures for equipment/material deliveries.

This week a contractor is removing/replacing existing pavement, installing a manhole and backflow preventer at the intersection of State St (RT31) and Chicago St requiring NB traffic along RT 31 and EB traffic along Chicago St. to be reduced to one lane. #ElginIL #TrafficAlert

#TRAFFICALERT: The traffic signal at the intersection of Chicago Street at Villa Court/Center Street will be dark until 1pm today due to a cabinet change out. This is due to a previous vehicle accident at this location and subsequent repair work being performed. #ElginIL
