It's better to play a good move than the right move.
If you're obsessed with playing the right move - like you're taking a test that will be graded - you'll play slowly and tentatively.
There is no test, but string together enough good moves and you'll beat almost anyone.
@khalstat@magpielincs Precisely!!! Not but fr Maggie that was definitely the right idea and I can show you the answer on a virtual board sometime if you’d like
@magpielincs Exactly but it’s harder than it looks to Queen your pawn. If they move their king to the corner and you push either pawn they can then take a king position that stops either pawn from queening
@magpielincs what if white never pushes the furthest advanced pawn so that it can never be captured and just shuffles their king back and forth instead? (you're on the right track)
@magpielincs Hahaha fair. But how do you chase down the pawn if they push their pawn one square giving a check? Then you can never take the furthest advanced pawn because it’s protected
@magpielincs It's hard to push that pawn because the white king can step forward and prevent both pawns from advancing any further (if the left pawn advances it's taken; the right pawn is blocked)
