Threatening to picket a supervised consumption site in an area with one of the highest overdose death rates in Vancouver and laughing about it is just sad.

The people using those services aren't punchlines. They're someone's son, daughter, mother, father, brother, or sister.

People are showing their true colours. Some would rather see supervised consumption sites disappear than see people survive long enough to have a chance at recovery.

That's not public safety, that's a loss of compassion.
