Western CO remains perfect on the season, improving to 7-0 with Saturday’s (10/18/25) 34-13 road win over SD Mines in Rapid City.

The President Drew Nash did presidential things. Nash completed 24 of 42 pass attempts for 342 yards and 2 passing TDs. Additionally, Nash ran the ball 6 times for 40 yards and a rushing TD.

The true freshman Quinn Bailey continued to introduce himself to RMAC opponents as he gained 75 yards on 22 carries and scored 2 TDs.

Caden Measner also continued his stellar season at WR as he hauled in 10 receptions for 119 yards!

The Mountaineers’ defense held a team that rushed for 187 yards and 257 yards in their last two games to a mere 88 rushing yards this game.

Leading Western CO to the win were:
🏈 Drew Nash, 24 Cmps on 42 Atts for 342 passing Yds and 2 passing TDs as well as 40 rushing Yds & 1 rushing TD;
🏈 Quinn Bailey, 22 Carries for 75 Yds & 2 TDs;
🏈 Caden Measner, 10 Recs for 119 Yds;
🏈 DJ Allen Jr, 5 Recs for 107 Yds & a TD;
🏈 Ian Loomis, 14 Tackles (4 Solo & 10 Ast) with 1/2 a TFL;
🏈 Cameron Cooper, 11 Tackles (5 Solo & 6 Ast) with 3.5 TFLs; &
🏈 Ricky Freymond, 6 Tackles (3 Solo & 3 Ast) with 1.5 TFLs, including 1 Sack.

Next week starts the most difficult part of Western CO’s schedule as they end their season with CO Mines, Pueblo, Chadron, and Mesa.

If Western CO doesn’t come into any one of these games mentally prepared for a fight that will be tougher than anything they have experienced thus far, it could be disastrous for the Mountaineers’ playoff hopes.

Fortunately, I do not believe Coach Bains will allow the Mountaineers to slip down the stretch.

Here are a few of Western CO’s highlights from Saturday’s win:
