In this crazy world of AI how does a Junior Developer succeed and grow in this age?

Any good articles or thoughts about this?

I know several Juniors that are struggling. When it comes to AI output, it's hard for a Junior to understand if the output is any good or not.

@dustinson Yeah, that setup feels like it would devolve to "do the unit tests pass" (which were also AI generated) "then merge". At some point that seems like it would not go well once the code starts to rot. Integration tests become more important, but I'd still be concerned about code rot

@dustinson Yeah, I guess part of it depends on the company and the amount of pressure and support the Junior gets

I see tons of code in a short amount of time in a PR that then a Senior invests lots of time & effort to add helpful comments because solution tends not to be what is desired
