We just released react-native-runtimes! ๐ฅณ
๐ Render React components on separate JS Runtimes
๐ Share state (Zustand) across Runtimes, synced in C++
๐ Dual-Thread-approach for rendering/business logic
We plugged this into MetaMask which made the app start substantially faster:
Introducing Apex: a specialized, cost-efficient coding model for React Native.
Built by Callstack for the work our engineers do every day: building apps, fixing framework-specific issues, reviewing architecture, and shipping one codebase across platforms.
Now opening in private beta.
Just open-sourced react-native-skia-lab ๐จ
A collection of beautiful demos built with @ReactNativeSkia and @expo
Last year, my solo-built app won the Most Creative App category at the Expo App Awards.
If you're looking for a mobile design engineer who genuinely cares about crafting beautiful products and experiences, let's talk.

This is where we are right now. And iโm not gonna lie it feels pretty magical ๐งโโ๏ธ
Qwen3.6 27B running inside of Pi coding agent via Llama.cpp on the MacBook Pro
For non-trivial tasks on the @huggingface codebases, this feels very, very close to hitting the latest Opus in Claude Code, or whatever shiny monopolistic closed source API of the day is.
In full airplane mode.
Most people havenโt realized this yet.
If you have, it means you have a huge headstart to what I call the second revolution of AI.
Powerful local models for efficiency, security, privacy, sovereignty ๐ฅ
My take: you donโt have to understand the code written by LLMs until it starts making money. Itโs perfectly fine to ignore it until the idea has proven itself. Only then comes the moment when you should dive deeper, because youโd better understand what youโre going to maintain :)
Drawing a bounding box around a detected face or barcode always meant manually converting between frame, camera, and preview coordinates.
Now the annoying math is gone - VisionCamera V5 has first-class APIs for all three:
Introducing Claude Design by Anthropic Labs: make prototypes, slides, and one-pagers by talking to Claude.
Powered by Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable vision model. Available in research preview on the Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, rolling out throughout the day.
