If this Ipswich LAX team forfeit is because the League banned them from playing because of a picture of players with cigars after high school graduation- it is a terrible decision and policy. This decision lacks wisdom, judgment, common sense and compassion. These LAX players earned the right to play.
The League needs to protect girls rights to fair and safe sports and right to privacy- this should be the priority. Our citizens want common sense and compassion.

“Approximately two hours before the start time of the state tournament contest, news broke that Ipswich forfeited the monumental game with a trip to the state final on the line. Per reports, Ipswich forfeited the game after members of the team violated the MIAA’s Chemical Health rule. Ipswich said in a statement it forfeited out of “shortage of available players.”

The @MIAA033 TMC has voted unanimously to adjust the number of divisions for several sports, starting in 2027-28 school year:

Boys' and girls' lacrosse drop from 4 to 3
Boys' tennis drops from 4 to 3
Boys' hockey drops from 4 to 3
Field hockey drops from 4 to 3
Girls' hockey drops from 2 to 1

Other sports remain the same.

Football and boys' rugby were not included in the vote.

In just under three hours, I’ll be turning 19, and it honestly has me thinking about a lot. Over these 19 years, I’ve learned so much about life both the good and the bad. There have been moments that lifted me up and moments that really tested me, but all of it has shaped who I am today. I’m still learning every day, and I know I still have a long way to go.

I’m so thankful and grateful for the people in my life who continue to support me, motivate me, and stand by me no matter what. Without them, I truly don’t know where I’d be. The love, encouragement, and patience I’ve been given mean more to me than I could ever put into words.

To everyone who has been there for me in big ways or small ways, I appreciate each and every one of you more than you know. You’ve all played a part in my journey, and I’ll always be thankful for that.

As I step into 19, my birthday wish is simple be kind, have faith, and spread love. You never know what someone else is going through, so be the reason someone smiles everyday
