I marvel at how often & in so many different ways #BBCQT makes so many questionable editorial decisions. There is a by election happening in north London exactly 1 week after this show but only 1 of the 2 leading parties is represented here. How is this remotely fair or balanced?
@ZackPolanski The Prime Minister is a co-operative party MP. The co-operative party supports transitioning private water utilities into mutualised, consumer- and community-owned entities. Why won’t he do it? Maybe the Cooperative party should ditch Labour and partner with the Greens.
@brexit_sham@GBNEWS Where is @Ofcom in all this? Or government? We democratically elect governments, who set up bodies to ensure the media is relatively impartial. Why are they not doing anything to stop a billionaire right wing mouthpiece polluting the public discourse and espousing nazi views?
@PippaCrerar@jessicaelgot Not my area of expertise I’m afraid. But a great example of how difficult it is to electorally unite groups who, at one time, might have been united.
@PippaCrerar@jessicaelgot Great idea. But I don’t see how you unite a former Labour voter who has drunk the reform coolaid and wants to slash dinghies, with a progressive, left leaning voter who thinks, actually, this Green manifesto looks quite sensible and hopeful.
@Braxianto@AlistairCarns You are right. The endless stream of bots on this site, churning out divisive hatred, the racist hate whippers slashing dinghies, the balaclava clad imbeciles targeting the RNLI. The enemy is absolutely amongst us.
@wedwarehouse1 My first ever football shirt. Practically lived in it from receiving it on my birthday, until I got the home shirt and a Terry’s chocolate orange for Christmas. Alternated between pretending to be Gary Bannister and Mel Sterland.
"Every time we've had these squeezes on welfare recipients, what we've actually seen.. is an increase in child poverty & in work poverty.."
@AyoCaesar on #bbcqt. Spot on.
@TheMeldrew@supertanskiii The fascists have been appeased and pandered to by the national broadcaster, and by successive governments who refuse to call it out for what it is. Migration shouldn’t be in anyone’s top 10 concerns about the UK, but it’s been whipped up to be a higher priority than the reality
If you add in £130m losses on “Reform TV” (aka GB News) the effective subsidy of Farage’s party from just four men tops £200m. You just have to join the dots https://t.co/0gf4woQAA0
Caroline Lucas on defence, talking about the threats we face are not just foreign powers-climate collapse was at the forefront of the MI5 report that the government suppressed.
Haigh looks aghast &
Bruce interrupts re nukes. Climate collapse will lead to conflict.

@RobertJenrick How predictably disingenuous from the most venal of opportunists. Interesting though that he suggests political donations do have a bearing and influence on policy and decision making.
If she arrived today, the party she is standing for would treat her & her family much worse, restricting their access to settlement & making it harder for her to become British.
Thats just a fact. A very sad fact.
Vote Green if you give a damn about refugees.
@Independent@brexit_sham And the UK government continues to pretend it’s worth placating the idiots who still insist they were right to have voted to leave.
@Seanchuckle@ZoeJardiniere@Keir_Starmer Man who said he would do away with the lords to stop politicians ennobling lackeys and to restore trust in politics, decided to keep the lords, and now wants to ennoble lackey and has presumably given up on trust in politics.
Instead of using terrorist legislation to arrest harmless elderly women who take exception to seeing children being butchered in Gaza, can we please not deploy it against those who threaten RNLI volunteers and fundamental British values?
@ZoeJardiniere They’ll be GMTV washed a la Kwasi Kwateng - being brought in as the “centre right voice of reason” while we are all supposed to forget what a cluster fuck of immorality their policies were and how much damage they caused.
