Happy International Women’s Day!
This year’s theme reminds us to #EmbraceEquity and foster true inclusion & belonging in our classrooms, workplaces, & communities, free of bias & discrimination.
When we embrace equity, we recognize and uphold the dignity of each person.
Today, we're celebrating the groundbreaking work of Dr. Chika Oriuwa, a Black Canadian psychiatrist and advocate for health equity.
As a medical student at the University of Toronto, Dr. Oriuwa faced systemic racism and discrimination, but refused to let it hold her back.
