On a scorching August day in 2008, Jodie Edwards dialed 911 to report the tragic death of her baby after inadvertently leaving her in the car.

After dropping her son off at preschool, Edwards strapped baby Jenna back in her car seat and began her drive to the babysitter’s home.

Edwards then claimed she visualized driving to the sitter’s home and dropping Jenna off. She even visualized putting Jenna in the crib at the sitter’s house.

For the next 15 minutes as Edwards drove toward the babysitter’s home, that visualization somehow became real in her mind.

Instead of passing her office and continuing to the sitter's house, she found herself pulling into her office parking lot, under the impression that she had already dropped off the baby.

When Edwards came out to her car after work at 4 p.m., she got in and noticed her baby was lying lifeless in her car seat.

Edwards recounted that upon realizing her memory of leaving Jenna in the crib at the babysitter's was false, she began to scream and collapsed to the ground.

A grand Jury deliberated and concluded it was accidental, Jodie Edwards was found not guilty.
