So proud to know these ladies: @ElisabettaBava1, National Social Studies Council's Elementary Teacher of The Year & Samantha Toledano, a 10 year old who, inspired by her teacher, raised $1,400 to help hospitalized children. Both were recognized at last night's BOE meeting.

Samantha T., pictured here, was inspired by her teacher @ElisabettaBava1 of @OceansideSch5 to create "global goals." Hers: to help sick children feel less frightened while in the hospital by collecting items they would enjoy. So far she has raised ~ $800 in gift cards & toys.
