SMACKDOWN ALERT: Santa tells politicians that they are on his #NaughtyList for climate betrayal, stating: "Here is the truth that each one of you know: If the Earth were a bank, it’d be saved long ago." #SaveSantasHome (and all our homes too)
Iodine speciation in marine aerosols impacts atmospheric ozone concentration. Its chemistry is complex, but we're getting closer to understanding it 🧪Have a look at our new publication in @FrontMarineSci : https://t.co/Cg5LoIgFCU🌊 Wordcloud by @AtmosSciBot 🤩
Just completed publishing the drift tracks of our @MOSAiCArctic exepedition on @PANGAEAdataPubl: https://t.co/wVcgCCPpNG More data along the track are available from our buoys on @meereisportal. @AWI_Media
@ClnHz I’m reading a book called “A World Without Email” by Cal Newport. Haven’t finished it yet but it sounds like heaven to me 😄 so far, can recommend it to whoever feels like they’re drowning or distracted by emails

It's #WorldOceanDay! 🌊 The oceans regulate our global climate, they take up heat and CO2, provide us with food, oxygen, biodiversity, mystery, and beauty. Let's try to take care of them as best as possible.
#vEGU21 OS1.7, I’ll be showing a short story on the carbon uptake of coastal polynyas and how they’re influenced by tides. Looking forward to the discussions! Starts in 10 mins 😊
Our final seawater sample has been turned into a number that we’ll be adding to the @MOSAiCArctic database! This one was collected from one of many high resolution CTD casts done during the onset of Arctic freeze up in 2020.. Curious to see the results 👀
Us about to collect inter-comparison seawater samples on board #Polarstern 7 months ago to create an even more amazing time series for the carbonate chemistry during @MOSAiCArctic. We finished analysing these this morning at @ueaenv!
End of Day2 of carbonate analyses in this funky container lab at @ueaenv 🥼 @MOSAiCArctic samples looking good so far 🤩 credit to the blasting music.. the analytical instruments have heard it all, ranging from techno to soothing whale songs.. 🐋 Any suggestions? 🎶
